With the coming of digital age, some people like to do the blogging and to communicate to others by their blogs.

Suggestion 1:

to "do the + ving" one looks odd, but I suppose you can use it and people will know what you mean. I think it is used more often if you are unfamiliar with the verb or if you want to make fun of the verb. Therefor, "blog" is a good choice of verb.

Suggestion 2:

With the coming of the digital age, some people like to write blogs and to communicate to others by their blogs.
